Oliver Whawell arranged the songs and looks after the two bands. He has been playing and teaching sax and piano professionally since he was 16. He is a founder member of the Strawberry Thieves - a song writing partnership and "thinking man's" pop group - who have also contributed the Phil Manzanera track "Frontera" to the Roxy Revisited album. Their website is:

Paul Gowlett engineered and mixed the recordings. He runs his own commercial recording studio, and as Paul Stewart is a popular singer on the Yorkshire cabaret circuit.

The albums are now on sale

I have the ‘Deluxe and Delightful’ 3CD package. It’s beautifully laid out. I can’t comment on the GSAL tracks - I was too close to their creation, but the rest is extraordinary. Alan Heaton has played safe by only pressing 1000 copies initially (CDs don’t do Print on Demand yet) but let’s hope enough people hear this music to justify a second run.

I’ve reviewed the album on my blog here.

One correction to the booklet notes: the GSAL bands were recorded and mixed by Paul GOWLETT (as below).

Hey, everyone involved, well done! Thank you for the fun, and thank you to Oliver for his great arrangements.
